About The Role

Morrison Telecom Services is focused on the design, build and maintenance of telecom infrastructure for key clients in the fixed telecom market. We are currently looking to recruit a Zone of Interest Coordinator to be based out of our Dartford office, to be responsible for reviewing each estimate received from the client where civils/excavation works are required.

The Zone of interest team are a key function to enable delivery of civils works. Each estimate must be reviewed to identify if we are safe to work within any one location identified on the works job pack. Being a Zone of Interest Co-ordinator means you are responsible for checking all utility prints and responses from asset owners, making enquiries with any asset owners who have either not provided a map or if they have requested an enquiry be made. You must review each case, and before releasing the works to the supply chain, have obtained written authority to proceed from each affected asset owner. 

 

As the Zone of Interest Coordinator, your duties & responsibilities will be:

  • Run daily reports to identify new in cases and complete these cases within the working day.
  • Make relevant enquiries with affected asset owners, ensuring everything is in place and processed as per the step by step training guide.
  • Communicate with internal MTS supervisors as well as Asset owner supervisors to agree dates for pre site meetings and site supervision.
  • Work along side the other ZOI team members to answer any email enquiries within the ZOI Mailbox.
  • Deal with urgent cases as and when they arise.

Skills & Knowledge Requirements

  • Must have strong communication skill
  • Previous experience working in construction or Utilities
  • Digger pack experience or Streetworks experience
  • Have great attention to detail and be able to work within a fast paced environment
  • Great team player
  • Work well in a pressured environment
  • Processing skills

  •  The Zone of Interest process is very high profile. The successful candidate must be a strong minded individual who is able to follow instruction and take direction.
