About The Role

Morrison Telecom Services operates as a Telecommunication Infrastructure Services Company and is part of the Telecom Division of M Group Services. We deliver a range of essential infrastructure services to the utilities, transport, data and telecom sectors across the UK and Ireland.

We are currently looking to recruit a Poling Supervisor to work on our Telecom Contract in Norfolk. You can be based out of any of the following locations with occasional trips to our East Anglia site (Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Norwich, Kings Lynn, Peterborough, Lincolnshire)

You may be an experienced supervisor or somebody who is eager to take the next step in their career and advance to a supervisory position.

 

What will you be doing?


A B.T Poling supervisor is a qualified person that can supervise teams of direct labour and or sub-contractors works in a safe, efficient, competent manner and to a high quality.

Site supervision of field operatives (direct labour and sub-contractors) to ensure that all client orders are delivered to time, in a safe and compliant manner ensuring all contractual processes, procedures and quality standards are met.

The main roles are to ensure that the works are constructed to the relevant standards, technical specifications, on time, to the customer's satisfaction, in a cost-efficient manner, taking into account the relevant health and safety standards that must be followed to complete the works safely.



What will your key responsibilities be?

 

  • Ability to take direction from Project Manager and execute works in an efficient manner, delivering required outputs for projected delivery success

 

  • Proactive in the resolution of engineering obstacles, and managing variations in line with contractual requirements

 

  • Customer focused with a professional outward attitude. Understanding what important to customer internally and externally

 

  • Flexibility to undertake works outside core working hours and adjusting your role to suit the business needs as required

 

  • Prepared to go the extra mile and working on positive outcomes for all parties



Skills/Competencies/Experience required:

 

  • In-depth experience of O/H telecoms networks and hold required BT Poling Survey accreditation.

 

  • Must have the ability to identify risks and introduced sufficient controls to manage risk

 

  • Competent where appropriate in managing resources who undertake Poling installations,

 

  • Full understanding of B.T quality criteria for Retrospective audit purposes.

 

  • In-depth experience of O/H telecoms networks and hold required BT acredditations.

 

  • NRSWA (essential)

 

  • CSCS card (preferred)

 

  • Driving license - (essential)

 

  • Manual Handling

 

  • Confined Spaces (Not Essential)

 

  • All relevant BT mandatory training including A8-A9
