About The Role

Why does this role matter to us?

Magdalene delivers Managed Services and Projects for both fixed and mobile infrastructure networks across the operator and utility markets. Our Field Services team are looking for a Site Supervisor to work in one of our customer’s high profile switch site centres.

What will you be doing?

In this full time, permanent role, you will be the main interface between Magdalene and Telefonica, located at the Harlow switch site. However, ad hoc cover on our other sites may be required along with out of hours call outs on a rota basis.

This role will fit within Magdalene’s Field Services team where the pace is fast and no two days are the same. You will work collaboratively with our customer, Telefonica, other Magdalene field engineers and 3rd party engineers to ensure that the switch site is kept secure and maintained at all times. 

What are your accountabilities and responsibilities?

  • Inductions of all attendees at the switch site
  • Preparation of all works due to be carried out at your site
  • Completion of audits and surveys to ensure all works have been completed correctly
  • Approval of contractor RAMS
  • Ensuring Health and Safety of everyone entering the site is paramount and that all individuals are monitored using the correct signing in process

We also need to see these attributes on your CV

  • Previous experience working in a secure data centre or a high level of knowledge of telecoms equipment and servers.
  • Competent at using your initiative to provide resolutions to issues, you will excel at working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • You will boast a positive attitude with a reactive work ethic, in time allowing you to build lasting relationships with our customers and engineers.
  • Computer literacy (including Excel and Outlook) is essential for this role.
