About The Role

Magdalene are currently on the hunt for an experienced Project Manager with experience of working with UK Access Network projects in the UK. 

At Magdalene, we are at the top of our game; delivering turnkey deployment projects for both fixed and mobile infrastructure networks across the operator and utility markets.

The Project Manager will manage the project and provide delivery assurance in a portfolio of individual projects, from inception to completion, ensuring Magdalene are fulfilling our responsibilities to the customer. 
Your duties and responsibilities will be:
  • Agreeing and implementing the project delivery strategy
  • Forecasting resource and material requirements
  • Monitoring project costs and delivery 
  • Managing contractor performance
  • Providing regular project and financial reports to the Senior Project Manager 
  • Liaising with Account Management, Field Engineering, Project Management Office, Logistics and the Customer as required to ensure all aspects of the project are communicated effectively
  • Coordinating and leading a multi-disciplinary, multi-contract project team and provide the necessary direction, targets and milestones
  • Ensuring key functions of the project delivery are in place (including, H&S, Quality and Delivery) 
Principal Accountabilities:
  • Delivering a project / portfolio of projects from inception to completion to time, quality and cost maintaining the highest levels of safety and environmental management.
  • Ensuring construction assurance through audits on quality of work, technical competencies, adherence to specifications, compliance with testing and commissioning procedures and safety and environmental procedures.
  • Producing delivery plans and ensuring adequate provision of direct / contract resources, materials and services to ensure that project programmes are maintained
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure that all projects are managed from inception to completion
  • Ensuring that all work is carried out to provide very high levels of Customer Service e.g. minimise Customer Interruptions, network risk, and customer complaints
  • Ensuring that all workers engaged on the projects / portfolio of projects are fully aware of all safety and environmental requirements
  • Producing Project Execution Plans and Activity Information Packs
  • Ensuring projects are notified and are complying with CDM requirements

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

  • Expert knowledge of the UK Access Network
  • Proficient in all Microsoft packages
  • Prince 2 or APM qualified.
  • Previous experience of working in a Project Manager role in a fast paced telecoms environment
  • Proven experience of dealing with contingent labour, including checking and submission of timesheets
  • The ability to create risk registers and various reports with project commentary as required
