About The Role

Key Responsibilities:

The Procurement Manager is responsible for sourcing and engaging with new and existing suppliers to build and maintain strong relationships ensuring that Magdalene’s business needs are met. Specific responsibilities include;

 

·      Working with operations and sales teams to design and develop procurement solutions

·      Scoping subcontract technical and commercial requirements in conjunction with operations and sales colleagues

·      Identifying operational solutions and appropriate suppliers to deliver those solutions

·      Negotiation with suppliers and ensuring that cost targets are met

·      Ongoing subcontract performance and relationship management

·      Supporting the Supply Chain Manager in the maintenance of the Approved Supplier Database 

 

Experience and Qualifications:

·       Experience in operations and/or commercial management specifically within the telecoms or utilities services sector

·       Educated to degree level or equivalent

·       Line management experience would be preferred

 

General Requirements:

·      To maintain professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities.

·      To undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be required from time to time and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job.

·      Carry out all work in accordance with the company quality procedures.
