About The Role
At Magdalene, we are at the top of our game; delivering turnkey deployment projects across the fixed and mobile infrastructure networks.  Magdalene’s Projects team are on the hunt for a budding Project Manager to work on our Openreach Projects in either Bootle or St Ives, Cambridgeshire.
As a Project Manager you will be part of our Project Management Office who are responsible for delivery of Magdalene’s customer projects including network, build, outsource solutions and network upgrades.

This role will be manage the 2nd DSLAM project across the MUS Openreach North West region in the UK. You will be involved in customer and supplier engagement, proactively managing work from survey through to commissioning with Openreach, through project delivery plans.

As the Project Manager your duties & responsibilities will be:

  • Customer engagement, agreement and delivery of targets
  • Supplier engagement, driving suppliers to deliver to time, cost and quality
  • Producing plans to underpin and drive customer delivery
  • Producing reports and analysis to inform delivery (internal and external)
  • Financial and commercial management, tracking project performance and making decisions to improve project performance
  • Working with local authorities and community groups in respect of NRSWA
  • Ownership of delivery issues to resolution
  • Assessing risks in conjunction with Health and Safety regulations
  • Reporting progress to senior managers.

Skills & Knowledge Requirements

  • Proven track record in project delivery, ideally qualified to Prince 2 or APM level
  • Team Player, reliable and professional at all times
  • Adept at Customer management and creating additional value
  • Skilled at Supplier Management including but not limited to; civil engineering, power, copper and fibre networks
  • The ability to drive our suppliers to deliver
  • Good knowledge of the Openreach Access Network
  • Good knowledge of NRSWA
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills
  • The ability to resolve issues or conflicts that affect delivery quickly   

Additional Information

  • Saturdays and Sundays will be required when operational needs arise, as defined by the Projects Director
