About The Role
As a Network Support Engineer you will participate fully in the fault management of calls into the NOC (Network Operations Centre) plus have additional responsibility for the development of process and procedures within the team.

To ensure full services are delivered to Managed Service Customers in line with the Magdalene Operating model.

Our Network Operations Centre provides a 24/7 support to a number of industry leading telecommunication organisations across the UK. Magdalene are a part of M Group Services, who are a multi utility organisation providing essential infrastructure support services with a combined group turnover of than £1billion.

As a Network Support Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring of various customer networks across different technologies.
  • Provide regular updates to external customers on the progress of faults
  • Prioritising faults to meet SLA’s including resource management of external contractors.
  • Escalations into 2nd & 3rd line support.
  • Provide support to the Shift Managers in the acceptance and roll out of new contracts into the NOC.
  • Controlling and directing the FLM engineer for fault investigations.
  • Co- coordinating any planned Engineering Works
  • Facilities monitoring and fault fix.
  • Coach new team members
  • Provide ad hoc reports as required to seniors.
  • Arrange and coordinate access for suppliers providing services
  • Carry out any other duties that your line manager may reasonably request within the broad parameters of your role.
  • Carry out all work in accordance with the company quality procedures.
  • Analyse work procedures and recommend enhancements to the NOC Manager.
  • Work safely at all times in accordance with the company’s Health and Safety Arrangements.
