About The Role

Magdalene are currently looking to recruit an Operations Manager. Based in our Belfast office and reporting into our Deputy General Manager, this role requires the successful candidate to coordinate operational, project and service delivery requirements across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

You will assist our Deputy General Manager and our Service Delivery Team in the supervision of daily operations throughout the Northern Ireland organisation and hold line management responsibility for a team of 6 multi-disciplined engineers.

Your duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Creating installation and implementation plans
  • Producing testing schedules and test acceptance
  • Creating and updating record drawings and handover documentation
  • Assisting with financial tracking on a variety of projects
  • Ensuring all operational issues and concerns are dealt with in a timely fashion
  • Developing and maintaining operational guidelines for all staff
  • Supervising the delivery team to ensure operational excellence and excellent customer service at all times
  • Train and educate the delivery team on best practice, company policies and service excellence standards as required
  • Determining staffing requirements, work assignments and schedules for all new projects
  • Performing routine maintenance and repair work for equipment
  • Evaluating inspection reports and service tickets and preparing repair invoices
  • Coordination with the Deputy General Manager on all operational issues and promotional activities
  • Evaluating current strategies and recommend improvements
  • Providing clear communications of tasks to field engineers and acting as a point of contact/escalation

Skills and knowledge requirements:

  • Strong understanding of telecoms systems, communication technologies and project methodologies
  • Previous experience of dealing with and managing contract performance
  • Excellent experience of using a computer for various applications, including Microsoft packages
  • Having the confidence to deal with customers
  • Able to communicate clearly and professionally at all times, both written and verbal
  • The ability to work to a high standard of accuracy and able to meet deadlines as prescribed
