Morrison Telecom Services is offering a rare opportunity to gain exposure to all aspects of its fast-paced business environment giving the right candidate invaluable experience of how a successful Telecom organisation operates.

 

As an IT Coordinator, the successful candidate will provide day to day support to the Head of IT and:

 

  • Coordinate the distribution of IT-related communications ensuring the message reaches our diverse labour pool; tracking compliance and escalating where required.
  • Initiate, track, review and progress IT Change Requests for the business, gaining budgetary approval where required and challenging unnecessary requests.
  • Coordinate the completion of IT-based training across the Division and act as the first point of contact for IT security and data protection-related queries.
  • Promote the use of core IT products (e.g. Teams, OneDrive, Power BI etc.) and support their testing, communication and adoption.
  • Provide support to the roll out of Group projects and coordinate any change migration between the 3 companies within the Telecom Division.
  • Collaborate between each company within the Division to administer more efficient ways of communicating and interaction using IT platforms.
  • Support audits (including ISO22301 / ISO27001) and drive actions which enable continuous compliance.
  • Coordinate responses to client tenders and bids.
  • Act as the point of escalation for service-affecting Divisional IT hardware and software issues, working with the outsourced IT services provider to seek timely and cost effective resolution.
  • Assist with the creation and development of consistent Divisional IT policies and procedures.
  • Administer the IT recharge and invoicing process.
  • Deputise for the Head of IT in meetings ensuring comprehensive notes are taken and the interests of the Telecom Division are kept in sharp focus.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Highly numerate and literate, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  •  Able to work on own initiative with a logical approach to problem solving.
  • A self-starter, preferably with IT related qualifications.
  • Commercially aware of current technologies and IT methodologies.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and tasks with multiple deadlines.
  • Confident in giving presentations and facilitating workshops to colleagues, clients and suppliers at all different levels of the business hierarchy.

 

The successful candidate will have an understanding of:

  • On-premise and cloud-based IT infrastructure.
  •  O365, tools and applications.
  • Multiple-site WAN connectivity.
  • AV, Firewalls, endpoint encryption and MFA.
  • Mobile technologies including MDM.
